What do you guys think about putting 18" bronze te37's 9.5 and 10.5 w a-15 offset. Front tires 255s and rears 285s. Im also putting the kws suspension to cover wheel gap. Exterior color is the 40th anniv paint job w red interior.

You should check rays engineering website to see if that offset clears the bbk. I don't think it will. You can also ask forged.

xbigb4ller69z 03-09-2010 07:31 PM

Im not using spacers or anything. Ive seen ppl with 305s in the back

theDreamer 03-09-2010 07:32 PM

The tires are fine, it is the BBK and the brake clearance he is worried about.
18" wheels can fit over the BBK but only with a proper offset.

Ooo dang i have to see

theDreamer 03-09-2010 07:36 PM

PM Sharif@Forged and talk to him, he will get you setup properly.

It will work... Just checked with mackin. How bout the color combination?

NA&CH 03-09-2010 09:21 PM

I love how the Te's look. I am just not sure on the color combo with the 40th anny... Photoshop?

Heres the color combination.... What do u guys think????

xbigb4ller69z 03-09-2010 11:24 PM

Keep in mind the calipers are red as well

soCo 03-09-2010 11:55 PM

It'll look great with the body, not sure about the red calipers though. Seems like it would be a lot going on.

I wouldn't waste the money on the wheels. I think the stockers look great. I would go with suspension, sways, and spacers.

xbigb4ller69z 03-10-2010 06:54 AM

Im doing an even swap :)

bullitt5897 03-10-2010 07:12 AM

I dont think -15 offsets will clear the akebonos but your welcome to try... I also thought the lowest offset TE's came in were +12...

OMGWTFBBQ 03-10-2010 07:55 AM

I didn't even know Volk Racing made any wheels in the negative offsets.

xbigb4ller69z 03-10-2010 09:45 AM

I'm sorry I meant +15 offset

Ryan@IP 03-10-2010 10:23 AM

The 18x9.5 +15 front will be pretty aggressive. "Normal" aftermarket fitment would call for something like a 9.5" +30 wheel. Others run 9.5" +22 to be on the slightly aggressive side of things. That particular front wheel may extend past the fender or cause some rubbing, depending on if the fenders are rolled or how much negative camber you have.

The 18x10.5 +15 rear will be great, as many run the 19x10.5 +12 TE37s in the rear with the very wide 305 Bridgestone RE-11 without issues.

How do you guys like the color combination? check page1 for pics. I'm thinking maybe w/ reg lug nuts it will stand out more, or a red "Rays" sticker.

OR

Leave the stock wheels, drop it, and put spacers.

TOTAL COST FOR WHEELS: 0 - doing an even swap.

If the wheels are not costing you anything. I say go for it. You could always powdercoat them.

I do like the color combo of the 40. I would space the stockers and slam it. Just my nickle :D

ethier way I think you could win unless you need to buy the stock 40th's again.
