Default Best tires for SSR SP3's????

Ok so what would be a good tire choice for the Houston Texas area for street performance. My SSR's should be coming in soon and I am sure I am going to have to custom order them as well which means more waiting. I would like the help of you guys to better make my decision. I know I do like the advan's and Bridgestone RE-11's. I don’t want a stretched tire because I don’t trust this style. I am getting my HKS coilovers soon too so I will need clearance.

My Wheels: SSR Professor SP3 19" 9.5 +25 Front 10.5 +18 Rear

Thanks for the help!!!

285/35 rear 255/35 front..Im a fan of Hankook Ventus V12's

Thats just enough on front and back for the tire to not be stretched. Youv got a bit more fender spacer then a 350 so your coilovers will definitely help.

I need the tire to be decent in the rain as well, in Houston when it rains it pours!!!!
Also with a smaller diameter than stock, wont it cause my speedo to read incorrect??

Less then .5 mph difference..not enough to worry about. You can google tire sizes and speedometer difference if you really wanna see the difference..The tires I mentioned are great in the rain, thats why I bought them, along with a few other. I live in Orlando so rain is its friend as well

go 265 fronts and 305 rears... with your offsets you have TONS of room!!! I am running those sizes on 20's and much more aggressive wheel setup! Go big or Go home hehe on a good choice of wheels!

Toyo's, Falken's, michelin's, Pirelli's, Dunlop's, and all the other Major manufacturers will be good for you.

If your not tracking your car then I would go with 1 or 2 levels down from their flagship models to save you money. but if your all for performance Tire Rack does some great comparisons to help you choose

Dunlop Direzza DZ101, Kumho MX, Yokohama ES100, Nitto NT555, Toyo T1R's work well in the rain and perform decently in the dry. Falken RT's get slippery in the rain, so from personal experience they wouldnt be preferable in heavy rain.

hankook ventus v12 evo is the best!
doesn dunlop star spec only offered in 18'? or did i get my facts wrong?
dry performance kumho escta xs is very very supreb, but crappy wet performance
i heard michelin ps2 is good too, but they r more expensive

According to this site: Tire size calculator
Fronts:60=58.1Mph 3.1% off
Rears:60=60.4Mph .6% off

That is based on these sizes: 285/35 rear 255/35 front

Is the rear wheel the one that matters the most since it is powering the car?

Thanks for the sizes Zerafian!

JB-370z, I am just north of you in Austin. I will be going with the same tire set up but with Nitto Invos.
