Has anyone seen 19x9.5 +12 or even 19x10.5 +22 TE37s up front with Sport brakes?

FairladyZ10PG 08-16-2013 12:40 AM

I think spec jay is running a +12 setup up front. Not sure if he had sport brakes though.

Clicked on four random pages in this thread. You would think Volk only made black wheels. I hate black wheels. They really have no style and at a distance they all look the same. That's just me though.

Harsh dude... lol. Black looks great on all cars. Literally throw a set of black wheels on any car and they look amazing & aggressive as Fu. Now colored wheels look great too but they're a little harder to match with certain cars. When its done right, its great. But I think we've all seen too many examples of not done right.

is.... is that a porsche? Bitc* got style.

EDIT: Yes... Yes it is... I just noticed the porsche symbol in the center caps. Dear Jesus someone painted/hydrodipped/something flowers onto OEM wheels.

I'm running 19x9.5 + 12 up front and holy **** is it close. But it clears. I'm talking can't fit a folded dollar bill between.

This pic I'm posting was before my sport brake upgrade so don't say I don't have them lol. Ill try to get a good pic of how close it is tomorrow.

Awesome, I appreciate it :tiphat:. I was almost positive it was going to work because 19x9.5 +12 fits a 350Z with Akebonos. Do the wheels stick out considerably more? I understand it sticks out 10mm more compared to a +22, but is there any rubbing or a lot of negative camber required? Thanks again guys!

Beautiful, thanks MUST. Do you have pictures that show how much, if at all, the wheels, especially the front, stick out from the fenders? Something like this:

http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...ps117733b9.jpg

I have Akebonos on my 350Z and went with 19x9.5 +22 TE37s thinking the 19x9.5 +12 wouldn't clear. Not even a week after receiving my wheels from Injected Performance, I realized I was wrong. I was so upset :shakes head:.

/Angelo350Z/ 08-16-2013 08:05 AM

By the way, I would like to get a finish that's a bit darker but in the same color spectrum than the '13 Sport wheels. What Volk Racing finish would be the closest? I haven't seen Formula Silver in person, and I'm definite Mercury Silver is too light. Titanium Gunmetal perhaps?

Back in 03 it was cool. Made your car unique. Today they're played out, IMO. But, like I always say, "It's you car, if you like it, go for it." It's just when you go to a car show and just about all the cars have black rims; BORING...

Anyway, Happy Friday all...

Black wheels will never be played out.

Not much more than stock, as embarrassed as I am to say this, I'm on stock suspension with no issues. Coils coming over the winter build lol.

/Angelo350Z/ 08-16-2013 11:29 AM

Can you PM me pictures of your car with the wheels and the Sport brakes? I just want to see the wheels in relation to the fenders and brakes to get a better idea on how everything would potentially fit together. After going through this whole thread, it seems like 19x9.5 +22 is flush enough. But I would really like the extra lip of the the 19x9.5 +12

Don't remember the tire size but they are stretched 35s in the front and 30s on the rear.

*because i like scraping on everything, my fenders were rolled/pulled and bumper tabs had to be relocated.

/Angelo350Z/ 08-17-2013 04:42 AM

^^That's perfect, thanks for the picture. Man, it sucks your fenders had to be pulled. I just might stick with +22 then.

Thanks. Can you pull off 265 up front? How much, if any, does the front wheels stick out past the fenders?

I stuck with 9.5 +22 for the front and still had to pull my fenders. I learned the hard way after my front tire made sweet love to my freshly color changed fenders. :shakes head:

Then again I'm running a 275/35/19 tire in the front. :icon17:

Alrighty gents, I'm thinking of picking up a set of CE-28's from my friend. Here are the specs.

9.5 front 245/35/19 and 10.5 275/35/19 rear +22 all the way around.

I'm at stock height (base + sport package) right now and plan to be for a good while. My questions are...

1) Will they clear my OEM brakes? They clear his OEM Brembos.

2) How will the fitment look? I got an idea of how it will look from browsing some of the threads here, but, I was wondering if someone has a picture of this set up.

3) Will my speedometer be off at all? The stock wheel and tire specs are 9.0 245/40/19 front, 10.0 275/35/19 rear. Unknown offsets for the front and rears.

Any help is appreciated. :tiphat:
