Anyone used this TPMS reset tool (Autel MaxiTPMS TS301 ) for your Z?

In for results, getting ready to install some factory Nismo wheels I purchased, the TPMS's are installed on them, so maybe they will sync up and I won't have to

BTW: I'm getting the Rims powder coated next week, does the TPMS come off if I unbolt the stem from the front side, or is there some special trick to removing the TPMS/valve stem assembly so that it doesn't get damaged ???

^Yes, it's as simple as loosening the sensor with a deep socket (of course the tire bead needs to be broken to get the internal sensor out but if your rims are getting PC'd you'll have the tires off).

Sorry. But Tbone and I switched wheels, and both TPMS needed to be reset.
Yours will need to be synchronized.

Default Bad news

Hey guys,
I do have bad news. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or no, but this tool DID NOT detect my OEM TPMS. I don't know why. I also tried selecting by vehicle make (I think they had up to 08 350Z) and it still didn't detect it. So, I may send this back and try the TireRack one ATEQ TPM QuickSet Reset Tool

I'll keep you guys updated how that one works out.

You're welcome.

I just got off the phone with Tirerack. They told me that The ATEQ Tool ATEQ TPM QuickSet Reset Tool WILL NOT work on the 09 370Z YET. The company is trying to update their software so that the 09 or newer cars can use it. The tech did assure me that once the software is updated, this IS the right tool for this kind of TPMS reset. I will probably have to get the tpms reset through the dealer this time.

I called Tire rack. Apparently it Does work now. i also called the company (ateq usa) and they confirmed that it should work. I am going to order it with a new set of sensors on my new wheels and i will test it out once my wheels come.

If anyone would like to offer me free premium membership, I can post instructions on how to program your sensors without needing to buy any tool.
