powdercoating them will chip the edges when torquing, but not too bad. Normally, when I powdercoat lugnuts for people, we just do the top portion and leave the sides uncoated

Mike, I might just send you the nuts with my tow bar for now. I do not think I am going to do the JWT's just yet .. I am thinking of a slightly different theme for the engine bay .. which I hope to have done prior to Z Dayz.
