any recommendation for rim color on black cherry: design, color, etc...

thinking about power coating my OEM 19 Rays....... what would be the good color/design combo for black cherry............. black is just too mundane........... something extraordinary yet not too tacky.............

You could always color match them! Get the nissan color code and have the stock ones painted!...just an idea...

^no, that would be too much one color and it would wash the color of the car paint out or vice versa. I really like the silver(not chrome) or gold on the black cherry.

Wow. I really think the silver of the OEM Rays is the best for the Black Rose (Cherry). I would think that by painting the rims you would be "gilding a lily".... I will stick with the OEM silver and the Enkei EK2's I have.

Obviously you must gild them. Gold wheels!

i dont think color matching is a good idea.......... not my personal preference......

hmmmmmmmmm..........

gold?

just dont have any clue.......... can anyone photoshop?

i think black is just too plain.........nothing special..............

i am afraid after spending a couple of hundred on powercoating i might regret on the color..........

just might have to stay with OEM............. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Go see what a local plating company can offer. I know someone here mentioned having their sport wheels plated black chrome.

Traditionally I've always seen bronze or gold on burgandy colors. I think it's a complementary color. The link below show pics of a limited "hi-metal" bronze from Volk. They have a standard bronze and gold too.

Hi-Metal Bronze

Wow! Those actually do look very nice. I bet they would complement the Black Cherry very nicely.

I like the original silver of the 19" Ray's as well. It matches all of the highlights of the interior (knobs, buttons, anti sway bar, etc, I said "knobs" uh huhuh). I like the silver so much, I ordered those floormats and trunkmat with the huge silver Z on them from The Z Store online.
