Opinions on rim color on a yellow Z

What do you think looks better, Advan RS-D in silver or flat black on a CY Z?

If I go with flat black i'm thinking about getting a yellow pinstrip around the lip. I can't really visualize it, so I was wondering what everyone else's opinions are.

have you seen KillerBee's setup with the Axis wheels? Black with yellow pinstripes?

shamelessly stolen from tanabe's website:

no, it's not the RS-D, but since you're only looking for color opinions, it works well enough. imo, silver looks funny on a yellow car.

I think flat black would probably look pretty sweet :D Like Tony's TE37's

Yeah,

I've been eyeing his car for sometime. I don't know what his specs are for his rims.
I'm looking to go with 20s, but i'd really like to see what they look like first.

E-boner!

Flat black would be my choice. I would also consider a dark gunmetal (to match the calipers?)

I love those Volks but I priced them up the other day and it's just toooo much in the UK. The Axis look good - I would have to copy and go for the pinstripe too!

Who else makes flat black 19" wheels with the right offsets?

Axis Super Hiro's anybody?

That looks pretty nice. But I wonder if that picture was taken with the stock spring height?

2theextreme 02-04-2010 10:16 AM

I would say it most likely is.

initialgemini 02-04-2010 10:21 AM

I'm pretty set with going with a flat black look.
But, I'm debating what the difference is between a 20" and 19" set-up.

The axis rims are nice, but they only come in 19"

I'm also wondering how awkward would a 20" or 19" set up look on stock height.

Can anyone chime in?

phelan 02-04-2010 10:30 AM

at least get some springs...

Isn't a stock 370 with Sport & Touring going to show what the stock setup with 19's look like? I believe Sport with Touring comes with 19's from the factory. If so......here's mine stock:

And here it is after the BR coilovers and RE-11's were added....they are 19's:

Not sure about the 20's, tho....but I know there are def members on this board that are running 20's on their Z's.

well in my case its either I go with coilovers first, then rims later. But if I can get away with rims without a drop, then i'd do that.. lol
