Horses for courses, old bean - horses for courses.

My Z will never touch a track, so larger wheels (like yours) are perfect for the poseur (must say I like your sig pic).

ps - I must say that my 19" LMGT4's handle at least as well as the stock 18" forged Rays and they are just as light + give as good a ride over rough ground. In addition, they give me a little more traction in the damp. However Joey, this is not to undermine anything you've been claimimg for 18's in general - you're making very good points.

Cherio old chap

I agree with Joey perspective as well just giving him some ribbing I jsut happen to see both sides of the equation and find that the perfect compromise that will not get anyone knickers in a bunch is to have 18's for track use and larger sizes for the car when it hits the streets for everyday usage unless of course the Z will only be used for tracking.

I want to change my name from JoeyD to TheNonConformist. Anybody make that happen? 18's all the way.

Still looking for weights on the SA 67s too.

Working on it. I have called a few times, but they have been in a meeting for what seems like all day. They are supposed to give me a call back.

Are you being serious????You are concerned about weight and ultimate performance but you buy the Touring and Auto tranny and, judging from your post about 245 width tires out back not being enough for 332hp, you got the Touring package over the Sport Package???? Maybe thats all the dealer had on the lot and you chose what you got instead of waiting but that means that TheNonConformist doesnt really fit

[Uncle Ben]TheNonConformist title carries with it great responsibility[/Uncle Ben] j/k

Where do I start? Touring over sport would imply that you can't have both...you can. Touring and auto where chosen because it was the only thing available and my last car was about to die (meaning I had to buy something new ASAP). Your logic is flawed; something akin to saying I'm not going on a diet because I'm fat.

I'll stick with JoeyD for now...maybe you should change yours to "TheDevilsAdvocate"?

Still waiting on weights. I finally got WEDS USA to get back to me and all they told me was that they needed to check with WEDS Japan. Good news is they should have a test set of 370Z fitment wheels in on their next container from Japan.

Im well aware you can have both Touring and Sport but since you made a thread about 245 width tires being too skinny for 332hp it seemed to imply you got base + Touring package minus Sports thus my reasoning.

Also if you noticed I surmised as much that you took what the dealer had instead of waiting. Totally understand that but I couldnt help notice the irony between your previous posts about performance being number 1 to you, wanting a name change to TheNonConformist, and then chosing the fattening Touring over the performance Sport package Relax man you are taking this way too serious didnt mean anything more than just a little ribbing hence the smileys...Ill leave you alone now

BTW I like "TheDevilsAdvocate"

BTW did some searches to help you out on the weights but came up with nothing as Im sure you did as well but did find some pretty light 18" Gram Lights. Supposed to be there lightest rims.....Not sure if you would like em though...Figured it could be an alternative to the Weds if you dont end up getting them Would look great with the color Z in your avatar. I remember the 17x8 ones were 17lbs but not sure on the weights of the sizes you want listed below.

pricey though. $756 per 18x10 and $738 per 18x9

FINALLY got your wheel weights for you on the WEDS Sport SA67R. They said they may vary slightly depending on the finish you choose, but here you go...

18" x 9" = 8.73kg (~19.2 lbs.)
18" x 10" = 9.09kb (~20 lbs.)

I guess WEDS Japan has been playing with a 370Z and the first sets of 370Z fitments should be here on the next container from them in about 5-7 weeks.

I'm liking the Wed's but I'm also kind of leaning toward a 6 spoke wheel. Like the Gram Lights, SSR's, or maybe some Volks. My guess is Wed's will be considerably cheaper though.

Any idea on pricing yet?

Snake I hate to say it but after some serious reading and searching. I think I'm leaning toward Volk RE30 19's. Pretty darn close to my weight limit and 19's do look a bit better.

If weight were a non-issue...volk GTS 19s are my favorite wheel.

No worries brotha....RE30s are sweet and nowadays bigger forged rims dont necessarily have to have a weight penalty so we can have our cake and eat it too, sometimes. GTS are noice..Post pics asap when ever you get em
