Tires that will hold 800whp?

What tires are my best bet for not spinning with this kind of power. Should I get street tires and run low boost (500whp) then put on some sticky drag

Default Tires that will hold 800whp?

What tires are my best bet for not spinning with this kind of power. Should I get street tires and run low boost (500whp) then put on some sticky drag radials and run 800whp when im going to half mile events or can i daily on drag radials.

I'd run the r888r's on the street, as a matter of fact, I am. As for a drag tire set up, someone else will have to help you. That's something I just don't know anything about. I know there are various threads on the site discussing it if you do a search.

Spooler would probably have a better idea how well they would hold up with that knid of power.

That because they have great traction control and boost by gear from the factory.

Yes, but there is another article stating that the r888r's was the only street tire that got them into the 8's.

You need to have 325/30/19's on a 11.5 in. rim to even have a chance of them hooking. I see you are in Ontario. Temps will lesson your traction, the farther below 80 deg F. the worse it will get. I would assume you park your car for the winter. If so, you can run R888r's. Expect to get about 7k miles out of them max. If you want to hook on the 1/2 mile you will be switching to MT Street R's on a 17x10.5 wheel.

Im really looking for 40 and 60 roll grip. Not hard launches. Are the R888R's good for this on a 305/30/19 on a 10.5 in. rim? Im set on these rims and thats their widest size. Is there another tire that will do better that I can daily? Not sure what I should do honestly.

With 800hp you need the 325/30/19's on a 11.5in wheel. Otherwise and MT Street R radial 305/45/17 on Welds wheels 17x10.5. 305's are not enough.

Okay I understand. Could I daily on the MT Street R radial 305/45/17? If I can get away with dailying on these it would save me some money to buy the 325 wide tires. Also is there a reason you specifically mentions Welds wheels? Or can I run any 17 inch rim?

Yes, you can reduce your boost and lower your HP at the wheel. Around 700hp may work.

You are going to need to upgrade the diff also. The factory VLSD will kill you.
