For mainly track use, Nexen SUR4G, because they are cheap and hold up.

For cars I mainly autoX, Re71R is still my go to.

I do want to switch to A052, because they seem competitive for both track and AutoX.

It is all about how much you want to spend. Sticky tires cost $$$ and don't last long. You can expect 6 to 10k boosted on sticky tires and about double that n/a depending on your driving still. Oh and pretty much all sticky tires suck in the rain. Also you can't look at tread wear to determine how long they last as the cheater tires like re71s won't last but are good in the rain. I think they would be fine on street car boosted or not as you are not looking to put down lap times. The other problem with re71s and nexgen is lack of tire sizes. I like meat and a 275 or 258 ain't wide enough!

LOL so true. IMO they are not a 200 tread wear tire but they grip better then the RE-11s and they have a strong side wall which is great for cornering. I switched to R888Rs just because the rear 305/30/19 were such a pain to seat on the rim.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tracked SP SPORT MAXX GT 600 tires that come on Nismo models the last couple years? It's 200TW rated. Just curious how it stacks up.

I'm still running Kumho V720's and for $900, it takes my dollar further. Can afford another track day with the savings lol.

I am needing new tires and wondering about the Firehawk indy 500? people seem to like them. I just put 30K on my BFG comp2 AS.

2014 roadster touring sport. 275/35/19 in the back. im in florida its always warm and we can get torrential rains.

However I also am unable to determine what to do about my bizarre tire wear. My alignment is supposedly near perfect and tire kingdom could not understand how my tires are wearing so poorly. my inside rears are down to the belts and it is almost like the wear literally rounds the corner to the outside edge.

(and yes i noticed the staple in there when i looked at the pic, good thing im getting new tires)

That is because your toe is out. Have them set the toe front and rear to dead middle of spec. Find a better place to do the alignment. Tire Kingdom ain't cutting it.

It's not toe. Because there is no feathering on the edges of the tread blocks. That's a combination of camber and driving style.

The next thing. Are you lowered? If so, how much?

why not advan A052's? Ive heard amazing things about these

i'm actually kind of on the same boat

I'm currently running nankang ar-1 and i have maybe 1 track day left in them. I am heavily considering the nitto nt01's considering how they are super consistent with grip until they are toast. But recently i've seen alot of people running the A052's and ive heard amazing things about them. I also ran Ps4's which are the best 300 tw tire you can get. I think A052's are the go to if you want to stick to 200 tw. I also ran R888R's and after learning about the nitto's i would get the nt01's over the r888r's if you want to stick to 100 tw

my good friend used to run nt05's and now runs the nt01, obviously he says they are night and day

right now im stuck in between a052's and nt01's

Digitlman,
Your rear tires have the wear of someone who occasionally roast’s them off
Factory alignment in the middle of specs would yield normal wear (driving conservative)
Unsure how you drive, but if it includes burnouts on occasion’s, then have your rear camber adjusted to the least amount of wheel lean on chart....like just over -1.0*
Also, as they adjust your camber more positive (pulling wheels more upright), your toe will go more positive (wheels will turn inwards), so you may have to purchase some aftermarket suspension parts to dial into your driving style
More weight in rear or hard launches will cause rear tire to camber(lean) inwards more.

Thanks
You have a lot choices when selecting the right tires for your Z. I have always liked the Yokohama’s! I am on my second set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 R’s. Excellent dry and wet traction overall. Tread wear is above average compared to the other brand tires I have used over the many years. I had a set of Nitto NT05’s on my first Z they have good dry traction when you warm them up and tread wear can be less than average depending on how you drive your Z? I hope end up the right tires for your Z.

It is toe, because that is what my first Nismo did before I put new tires on it and aligned. The toe was out. His camber may be out too.
