Tire Stagger

I think the OP is asking if there is a preferred proportion between width of the front and width of the back tires. NISMO stock tires are 245/285, or the

I think the OP is asking if there is a preferred proportion between width of the front and width of the back tires.
NISMO stock tires are 245/285, or the fronts are ~86% as wide as the rears.
Is there a point beyond which it adversely effects handling?
