As I said above, "I did not like the ides of gluing these to the rims more or less permanently." So I chose the one with the tabs.


There is another product out there that requires the tire to be taken off, rings installed and then remounted by a professional shop. IT looks better, but seemed like to much trouble and money for a sacrificial product.
I thought the one with the tabs had to have the tires deflated to be put on?

Yes, but not removed from the rim and then remounted by a tire shop like the other product. I can not recall what the other product was called.
