2016 NISMO left on blocks

Parked my car right in front of my apartment in a nice section of Queens NY. Came back from Europe and found all 4 wheels and Rims gone with 11k miles. Cracked the driver rocker panel too. Anyone know how insurance plays this? Do I have to get the rims first and wheels mounted and then installed on site?Alternatively, anyone know of any nismo rims and tires for sale?

Call your insurance, they will tell you.

Most likely, they will have to have a appraiser come out, then appraise the wheel replacement cost. Once they give you the amount, you can choose to have them replace the wheels or, if you think you can get them cheaper, you can get a cash settlement for the amount they appraised for.

It happened to my friend's 1LE while he was in the shower. Insurance covered it up front with no problem. I dont know what company he has

Sorry to hear that. It's up to the towing company to properly tow the vehicle to minimize damage. Work with your insurance to make sure any additional damage will be covered if it occurs. Keep an eye out on craigslist you just might find your own wheels for sale. Also don't park on the street in NYC long term ever, and wheel locks don't even slow them down.

The claim is easy. Getting the car to the shop is the hard part. You will likely need to have the tires and wheels replaced and then drive the car into the shop. If you aren't comfortable working on the car yourself, you will need to find a shop that can come out to you, then drive or tow the vehicle into a body shop to have the undercarriage and body damage checked out.

Sorry about your car. Thieves suck.

It's there other damage to the car? Can they just send s claims adjuster out to you if it's "only" the wheels?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I called Geico yesterday, they still haven’t gotten back to me. The Nissan dealer around here is asking $6600 just for the parts; it includes the tire pressure monitoring ($100x4), center caps ($100x4), rims ($960x4), 4 tires ($1600). But I have to put on four spare tires myself and get a tow truck to pick it up and over to them.

Alright almost 1k per wheel is high.. you can get them on Z1 for about 2700 for front and rear. I'd get mine there but I've been holding out for a used set.

Give Geico the quote that the dealership gave you and take the cash.

This.
The dealership will be the highest quote and will be the one that the insurance company questions the least (go figure). Take the cash and buy your rims back on Craiglist for 1/3 the price.

I’ve been looking on Craigslist and eBay. It’s a shame, only 10k miles and not a single scratch, very conscientious about parking next to a curb.

Or get some after market wheels.

Locking lug nuts sound like a priority item, as well.
