Quick will it fit

Hey guys I'm just wondering If 255/45/19 in the front and 285/40/19 in the rear will fit with the 2012 sport wheels the reason being is I dont want to lower my car it's at stock height but I dont like the wheel gap it has now. It will be a 4.5 inch sidewall any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks

Take the time and read the first thread stickied here. Off hand, I'd say 'yes' they will fit considering some are running 305/35's for the rear tires. :tiphat:

taller tires is not the way to eliminate wheel gap

If you're doing it that way, you're doing it wrong.

Why do you suppose it's the wrong way of doing it, is there a downside to taller tires?

Speedometer will read 3mph slow @75mph & you’re only closing gap by 1/2” over oem Nismo height tires in rear :tiphat:
May get the 4x effect :ugh2:
Ride would be smooth; but wouldn’t be as tight in the curves :icon14:
Each is own/ I’ve seen 28’s on lowered Z’s look good

According to this website it says I wont lose any mph and it's pretty dead even with 255/45 and 285/40 https://tiresize.com/calculator/

OptionZero 06-17-2019 10:34 PM

255/45/19 and 285/40/19 are both 28 inches diameter

Factory:
245/40/19 = 26.7 in
285/35/19 = 26.9 inch

Over an inch taller. With no actual drop in suspension. You are going for the monster truck look

You bought a damn sports car and you don't want wheel gap but you don't wanna lower your car.

Live with the gap and roll stock or do it right and get the right suspension pieces

who the hell are all these people coming out of the woodwork that are scared to modify their car?

I’m sure it’s a DD thing. Peace of mind for your bumper when you’re just trying to get groceries. I get it.

Why buy a sports car if you're terrified about driving it to get groceries? Buy a civic

Speedometer reads off the sensors on rear diff cover...they read the toner ring or stub shaft/ so regardless of differential gears- the speedometer will read correct,,,but diameter change affects them.
26.9” is dead on
Taller rubber & they’re slow; shorter rubber & they’re fast...it’s just the way it is :ugh2:
You’d put less miles on your Z :rofl2:

If they were those sizes on 18’s you’re correct
Also, if you dd your Z & live up North with terrible weather,snow,etc...the extra ground clearance may help ~ if you’re getting A/S tires...otherwise I’d have to agree with OptionZero about improper way you’re filling gaps :icon14: :wtf2:

I live in CT and drove my car one winter, it was lowered on ARK GT-S springs with 18'' tires and it was a tank lol

Thanks for the feedback guys I appreciate it, right now im running 255/35 F. 295/30 R, the reason I was looking for taller tires is I live in a community with alot of speed bumps and live in Massachusetts but yall right it just dosent make sense I'll go with 255/40 and 295/35 and lower it a notch

OptionZero 06-18-2019 12:47 PM

air suspension is your answer
