Can the Stock 2013 Wheels Fit 245/45/18, 265 /40/18 Fit

Hey Guys,

I have a base model 2013 with the below attached wheels. I am going to be buying new tires and want to make sure that the size can fit on my vehicle.

Looking at 245/45/18 and 265/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s and seeing if anyone has done this before. I know you can obviously fit larger tire sizes in the wheel well, but seeing if anyone has fit these size tires on the stock wheels. The stock wheels are 225/50/18 and 245/45/18.

Please let me know all feedback of anyone who has done so. I am really looking forward to the upgrade to the Michelin PS4S as I have heard rave reviews.

Thanks guys and girls

I am in a similar siuation and used THIS WEBSITE which shows the differences in tyres sizes and/or wheel sizes.

Select your car from the dropdown, choose front or rear tyre size, then click on alternate sizes.

Yep w/no problems...you’ll just have some negative rake with a 0.4” shorter tire in rear.
Most common combination is 245/45/18,275/40/18...but I’m seeing the PS4’s aren’t offered in that rear size.
You could go 235/45,265/40 & both be 26.3” diameter vs. the 26.7” of the 245/275 combo.
I ran the first set I listed & many others have as well.
Hope this helps :ugh2:

With you being in Chicago; don’t be scared of the Michelin A/S 3+ tires,,,they can handle the cold weather & knife through the water better + they’re offered in 245/45,275/40/18’s...but it’s your money being spent.

You are good to go. I am running that setup on my car.

Hello, sorry for hijacking the thread.

I am trying to replace my stock tires on the Base 2017 18".

The front tires still have 5/32 threads left and the rear tires are at 3/32 (the dealer recommended replacing them 5000 miles ago).

I have 30k on all 4 of these. I am trying to replace the rear first with 275/40R18 Pilot SSS as recommended above. Is it possible for me to still keep the front tires as they have a lot of treads left? They are stock at 225R18.

Also, I can't find 245/45R18 for the front from Pilot SSS. Is it possible to put the Pilot 4S in the front while having Pilot SSS in the rear?

Thank you.

I wouldn’t mix/max rubber compounds & 5/32” would be a keeper for a spare,,,but that’s it.
If you were purchasing exactly the same brand tire ,,, with same tread wear..then yes :ugh2:

Also check for cracking between the tread,,,this will happen on summer tires driving up North; probably not in J-Ville

So which sets of tire do you recommend for the size listed 275 for rear and 245 for front?

Is there any benefits of increasing in tire size beside increased traction & fuel consumption?

Thank you.

Edit: Found the Firestone Indy 500 sets with $60 rebate for cheap!! Thanks again.
