Every time I've gone they always make it a point to say that they're not responsible for small scratches, bit it's never happened to me even though they say that

I get the small scratches, but this **** looks like Godzilla used my wheels as a scratching post.

I would never trust those jackasses at Firestone or Pepboys they probably don't even have a reverse mount tire & wheel mount. You have to go to a specialty rim shop that sells aftermarket wheels. I have been using the same shop for over 15 years they never scratch my wheels when mounting new tires, not even a pinch. Firestone should be held liable.

An email to the manager with pix should it done

If that doesnt, corporate

In the future, avoid those chains stored and stick to a specialty

This.

I had an issue with work they performed on my wife's car several years ago. I sent a message to corporate via the website. The area/district manager called me the next day and I picked up a check for the damage two days after that. In my message, I included a detailed description of what happened (or, in this case, what didn't happen) and provided pics to the manager that called me.

The only chain that I'll deal with is my local Discount Tire. I've been working with the same two managers for the past several years and they always give me the best price on tires and perform the work themselves. It pays to establish a relationship, if you can.

Good luck resolving your issue. I feel your pain.

Act immediately, just be cool, kind, yet firm and persistent about it. You'll get a check if it's as bad as you say.

After past experiences, I take video and photo of my entire car before handing it off to a shop now. Sucks but that's the world we're in.

I have always came to an understanding with the Mgr before work is ever done on any of our cars, "that what ever you bend, brake or scratch, you buy". As long as the shop takes there time and does not get in a rush more than likely you will be ok. Hope you get this worked out!!

Fortunately my Firestone branch actually cares. I thought I misplaced my wheel lock tool but they insisted to check again because they didn't want to take a breaker bar to my wheels.

In multiple visits they haven't messed up my wheels.

Honestly every company varies branch to branch. I'm sure there's a golden Jiffy Lube among the many that seemingly aren't.

This place generally does a good job; the tech I got is just a trashbag. He didnt tighten a valve core in my gf's new tires; I walked into my garage a day later and could hear the air hissing out as the tire went flat before my eyes. Looks like Luis has gotta go...

So the wheels came back from the paint shop and the Firestone manager rejected them out of hand as the shop placed the wheels flat on the concrete before the paint had dried.... they're headed off to the local stealership for painting.

Glad to hear it's being handled.

Insane they'd put fresh paint onto concrete...

I just had my new Firestone Firehawk Indy's installed today at Discount Tires. I stressed to them that I didn't want my rims scratched and they assured me that they wouldn't.
They did what they said, no scratches! I left a happy camper!

I had a similar experience at a local firestone shop. I pointed it out to the manager. They sent a mobile repair guy to the shop a few days later, and he did a fantastic repair job on the wheel.
