Anyone wrapped their wheels?

I saw a couple of videos of people wrapping their wheels. I was thinking about this instead of buying new wheels on my 19 Nismo.

You can, but I'm not sure it would last for a daily driver. For a weekend or show car sure.

I agree. I know it can be done, i've seen it done, i know a shop that can do it

But i dont know how practical it is for DD

I also wonder if the spray on paint is flammable being such proximity to the brakes.

...just a thought.

I doubt high temps would play much of a factor for wheel paint? But if so, VHT paint is designed for high temps.

Good call... just trying to avoid a track-day-fire.

you can get them stripped and re-powder coated in a host of different colors for around $500 for the whole set. Bet that's competitive with a custom wrap.

I also do not think a wrap on the wheels would last. The 20" wheels on my Tundra truck I had powder coated.Cost me $700.Look great and are very durable.I would go that route.Cheaper than getting new wheels and replaceing wrap every 2 years.

I wrapped the inner barrels of my F14s while I was in Germany. I didn't have any issues for the majority of a season but started noticing the wrap peeling on one wheel (most likely due to prep) so I pulled it off from all of them.

it probably wont be very cheap. There are a lot of curves/angles on wheels. A lot of areas where cuts need to be made. Allowing a good chance of pealing and dirt build up, over time.

This powder coating set me back $525.
