Default Wider tires on factory 15+ Nismo

Calling on any fitment gurus out there. I’m having some trouble deciding on some tire sizes and could use some advise. So I’m the first to admit that I’m a total novice when it comes to fitment, suspension, and tires! Just picked up my car from the alignment and 4 corner balance and it turns out my tires wore unevenly and it’s time for a change. I’ve decided what tires I’m going with (Michelin ps 4S, had them on the GT-R and loved them). Now my question is on sizing. I’m a big fan of the wider tires in the rear (both aesthetically and functionally) and was wondering how wide are you able to go in the fronts and rears. Just some background on the car, it’s a 15 Nismo, with aftermarket coils (kw V3) and camber arms (SPL). The car also has 20mm spacers all the way around.

I apologize if this has been covered somewhere else. I searched and found a thread where people have asked a similar question on the older Nismo wheels and didn’t see anyone on the tire and fitment thread with the factory 15+ Nismo wheels either. Plus, since the car isn’t stock, I wasn’t sure if other recommendations would work for me! Thanks again!

many many many many many threads on this topic.

however, i wont burn you but end it quickly lol.

on OEM Sport wheels it is 265/305 widest.

on your nismo wheels i believe it is 275/325 and actually i think 285 can go on those fronts if you want to push it. some can correct me if im wrong.

Thanks for the reply! You wouldn’t happen to know what the thread is called would you? I’m wondering why I couldn’t find it when I searched the app. I couldn’t find anything with fitment. I did find that giant threat with 17 pages but no one had anything on the factory Nismo wheels. I’m trying to keep it perfectly flush (which it is now) but somehow get more meat in the rear.

Dang dude it is on the first page in the section. Let the flaming begin.

Why you should use these tires with NISMO Wheels: 285/35R19 (F), 325/30R19 (R)

I've run 285 square, 265/305, and 275/305. Square was a lot of fun. No understeer unless I'm being retarded and just yank on the wheel. Steady state is neutral with a hint of oversteer, especially if you're feeding the throttle.

285 square here also using the factory Nismo wheels. For autocross I actually run 315's square but wheel offsets need to right or the tire may rub on the suspension upright.

From what I see, those are pre 15 wheels.

Thanks to everyone for the info! 285 square might be the way for me to go then! I’ll give it a day or two before pulling the trigger just in case someone else chimes in!

So it seams a lot of people have info on the pre 15 wheels. I always thought they were different sizes.

They're the same sizes and offsets, just different designs.

Maybe it's you? The issue is you didn't put forth much effort it appears. There is so much to read and learn on this site it is crazy. Great information everywhere.
