Anyone have a setup of 15mm spacers in front and 20 rear?

Yeah I have 20mm on the rear with the base 18's - works great. When you get your 20mm v2 for the rear you could do a quick test fit

When you get your 20mm v2 for the rear you could do a quick test fit on the front to see if they'll work, if they do then order another set of 20's. Just a thought.

yea you are right , im going to just take the 15s off and do a test fit on the front anyway...

but for the OP 20mm on oem 19s is ideal IMO... you can do 15 or 20 up front too. Personally I like the look of it being a little wider in the rear.

Ill snap some digi cam pics of the 15mm in the rear or try to dig them up off the hard drive.

I have H&R all around. Spare no expense, go with the best.

15 mm front (stud replacemnt)
25 mm rear (bolt on)

19" Sport wheels
Eibach springs

Josh@Stillen can hook you up.

I have not installed them yet. $$ is the hold up.

Yes, i'll likely get the hnr spacers, those seem to be built very well from what I've been reading. I'll likely also get cambers too and have it all done at the same time when I get the wheels powder coated matte black and the fangs painted black also.

sorry guys, no pics for you today. The front set, which I bought from Stillen, fit perfectly and is on. The rear set however, which I bought from a private seller here, is not for the right car. I had to over night myself a new set of H&R spacers with studs and had to pay for the labor anyway... sigh.

I think I may be able to have pics by thursday....fml.

What is the benefit, if any, of having stud replacement spacers versus bolt-on? And if one is better than the other, then why does it seem like some guys have both?

Also, I was going to get 15mm bolt-on Ichiba spacers for the front and 20mm for the rear, but someone else said the 15mm won't fit on the front with the Rays wheels. Is this really true, and if so, which brand would fit?

my best advice is call stillen and get them to sell you front and rear H&R Trak+ spacers in whatever size you need them. Done.

Josh, I bought the rears before the fronts from someone privately for a great price. I guess thats what I get for not buying stuff from you haha. I called you guys to order the rears today and (Andrew?) they told me that it would take 5 days to even get it. So I just ordered it directly.

The main benefit of bolt-on spacers (a.k.a. type 2 or version 2) is easier installation if you're DIY (or lower labor cost if the shop is doing it). Once the wheel is off type 2 spacers literally take just a few minutes to install. Type 1's take more effort when the studs need to be replaced with longer ones, but are necessary in some applications where the type 2 won't work (more on this below). Some might also argue that the type 1's are safer/better/whatever but I won't.

15mm Type 2's won't work with the sport package Rays up front because at 15mm they do not clear the OEM studs, leaving enough of the studs sticking out past the spacer to prevent the wheels from fitting flush against the spacer. 25mm spacers clear the OEM studs (which solves the stud clearance issue) but would push the sport package 19's out further than most would be comfortable with (lowering springs or coilovers with negative camber introduced could make 25mm a better fit). I don't know if 20mm type 2 spacers fit with the sport rims, maybe someone else here could chime in if they have that setup.

BTW, 25mm is a perfect fit for the base 18" rims up front. I have this setup on right now with my winter wheels/tires.

Thanks so much for the info!

Does anyone know if 20mm bolt-on spacers will fit on both the front and rear with the Rays wheels?

Well, I should be installing them tomorrow afternoon if all goes well.. The person that sold me the wrong part didnt even know he had the wrong part so he wasn't at fault at all. Good guy, he refunded me the money today.
