WTF: 10mm rear spacer
Im looking for a rear spacer that will work like the Ichiba Version 2 spacer for the rear. Anyone know who sells em with out having to knock out the oem bolts and bolt on like the V2's?
I picked up Volk rims that are +18 10.5" wide in the rear and a 10mm spacer will get the look I'm after...I found locally and bought a set of KIC 10mm spacers that works like the Ichiba V2, but when I got them installed and started to TQ the tuner lugs, they not TQ down correctly. Sorry no pics, I put back to oem as it was getting late, but the look was perfect for me... Eventually the back of the inside of the wheel squished against the oem 5 bolts attached to the spacer and couldnt TQ down. Dont know if the problem was that there wasnt a hub ring included as the KIC spacer fit right over the hub. Also, Im not sure if this would've caused the problem....BTW,...the Ichiba V2 +20 spacer worked great with the oem Sport rim, but they only make a +15 that would be much too wide and stick out in the rear.... Anyone with links or where to get 10mm spacers? |

Actually, I was trying to know if anyone knew of any source to look for 10mm ichibara type 2 like spacers and maybe I shouldn't have named my post as WTF or "want to find" but just 10mm spacer...
Im not a newbie to forums, so if you read my post and what I was asking for, you'd know that Im asking if anyone had experience or knowledge to finding 10m spacers other than on the classified section. Ive searched the forum and don't know if HR spacers would work or any other spacers as I posted my experience with the Kics 10mm spacer I bought locally in Hawaii and how the oem thread contact the rear of my Volk GTS rims..I have to return these and dont want to waste time and money again...isnt that why we have forums is for knowledge on our cars? |

you won't be able to successfully use any spacer with the type 2 system, unless the back of your wheels have big recesses in them for the stock studs to protrude into. You need to go at least 25 as the stock lugnuts protrude about 21mm.

Ahh,...
Thanks for the info... Maybe I will simply look for a spacer that is hubcentric that I wont have to bolt down...Think there is enough thread for the lugs? |
