Default Problem putting on front winter wheels.

Well I put the winter wheels on today. I ran into a small problem when trying to put the front wheels on because there is a small screw with a 1/2" or so spacer that prohibited the lugs from going on the rim. I quickly pin pointed the problem and removed the screw and spacer and installed the wheels. For the first half a minute or so I was a little worried though. The rear wheels don't have the screws so no problem there. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post.

That silly spacer/bolt is there to prevent you (or the tire shop) from accidentaly installing your rear wheels on the front. I ran into the same thing a few months ago and it threw me off for a half-minute also.

Wheels look good

Thanks, I just saw another thread on it. I guess I should have looked a little harder. Yah, I'm pretty happy with the winter set up. It doesn't feel all that bad either.

Really like those rims! I wanted to get them but they were a few weeks from being released when I was picking up my set.

I'd love to pick up a set of those for my winter set up! What make/size are they and would you mind sharing where you picked them up?

Yup, don't worry about that bolt. It should be removed and thrown away

If it wasn't for the weight, I was going to order those rims. I believe these are 3 lbs more than mine but I gotta admit they are the BEST looking winter rims offered by Tirerack for the 370Z. I really wanted to see how they look on a real 370z and I was right " VERY good" . Enjoy.

As for snow, you WILL be able to drive it pretty easy. I have driven in snow and frozen snow(thick ice). These tires are pretty awesome. Probably best investment I did for the Z.

Go to thetirerack.com then winter wheels, put in make and model and be sure to add sport package if you have it. They are 18" x 8" with 225's all around.

Thanks AK, I really like them as well. Haven't driven in snow yet and don't really want to either. What rims did you go with. The F10 is 24 lb's.

I actually thought that Nissan was being nice to include the bolt that you will need to thread in if you replace your rotor,...you will need a bolt to break the rotor loose from the hub area later down the road as it will "fix" it self to it with rust and dirt it will accumulate.

I kept mine in my spare bolt supply box and put some anti-sieze in the hole and on the hub to prevent sticking when I put on my GTS rims....

My Winter Rims/Tires Setup: TRMotorsport C2 + Blizzak LM-25 w/TPMS w/pics (AK370Z)

I went with TR Motorsports c2 rims. These rims ONLY weigh 21 lbs! They shaved off 6lbs from stock rears and 2 lbs from stock fronts. They are also used by plenty of SCCA drivers on track. So, for me, they are kinda two in one. But they don't look as good as your rims.
