curb rash repairable?
Hey everyone --
I'm shopping for a newer Nismo, and found a nice one...except...it has a small amount of rash on one wheel, maybe a couple inches or so. I'm anal about this kind of thing, although the rest of the car is pristine and low mileage and otherwise would be a good deal. The salesman said they have a "wheel guy" they call upon to fix problems like this. I'd never heard of this, although, I know some manufacturers put a plastic coating on some wheels to protect the alloy and keep it glossy, in which case, any repair would be less-than-satisfactory. Have you ever heard of a "repair" such as this? Thanks! |
Yeah, they can do wheel repairs like this. Depends on how bad it is as to how they fix it. You have any pic's of the damage?

I asked the salesman for a video, but the resolution on his cellphone wasn't good enough to capture it. He said it was "minor" and that they had a guy on call who could do it. I'd never heard of such a thing, but I'm glad you confirmed it. Thanks!
I guess I'm just going to have to make the trip and see it for myself. |
I had 4 rims redone for minor rash. Can't even tell that they was damage.

Yea,they can basically fix any wheel damage and make it look new.Not cheap though

OK...I'll take a look, and take them up on the offer to fix it as part of the potential sale.
