I went with 245/45/18 on some cheap rims I bought. So far I love them. Made it through a midnight drive up to Duluth during that last storm we got (terrible roads from North Branch to Duluth) and they cruised confidently through a couple inches of fresh unplowed snow when I got up to Duluth. I debated between them and the Blizzak ws80's, but from what I read, the Michelins perform better on dry cold roads than the Bridgestones, so I went with the X-ice.

I've used the Michelin X-Ice tires on several of my cars & had no issues at all. Good in snow, never drove on much ice as the roads are maintained & serviced as soon as the snow hits the ground. Wore very well & quiet as I used to commute 70 miles a day round trip on the highway. Looking at a set for the Z ,possibly this week .:tiphat:
