You're not the first one to complaint of the rust ring. There have been a few threads on the subject. Most tape up the rotor and use hi-temp paint. But

You're not the first one to complaint of the rust ring. There have been a few threads on the subject. Most tape up the rotor and use hi-temp paint. But the paint will peel and flake off with each washing. And you're back where you started from.
