Aftermarket Lugs on OEM Rays
Hey I did a search but never really got a straight answer..
I just had my OEM Rays painted and wanted to get lugs other than silver... Are there any aftermarket lugs (like muteki) that will work with the stock wheels? I read that ours has the washer in between and sits differently, but I still wanted to get a straight answer from someone who knew for sure haha. Thanks |

Nissan went to a "mag style" lug nut design on the new Z so you need to make sure whichever aftermarket lug nut you purchase is using this design. There not very common but you can find them some times. Toyota and Mitsubishi both use this same style lug nut as well as Jaguar and Land Rover but all in different thread pitches (1.5mm for Toyo/Mitsu/Jag) and diameter (14mm LR)
Most aftermarket lugnuts for a Nissan are 12x1.25mm conical/cone (60 degree cone shape) like this pic: You want 12x1.25mm MAG style (flat washer style) like this pic: |

I've been looking for after market locking lugs for the stock sport wheels. The ones from Gorilla and Mcgard have too small of a diameter where it fits into the wheel. The shank diameter on my stock lug nuts is .793" and both the Mcgard and Gorilla ones are .685" diameter. Are the Nissan 99w2-z3409 locking lug nuts the same shank diameter as the stock sport wheel lug nuts?
I'd really like to have a full set of spline type lug nuts but haven't found any that fit right. |

Call Mackin (US importer for Rays/Volk & Advan wheels. They distribute Muteki also. If anyone knows if there are some available they will.
Mackin Industries
