Ok I picked up my tire and rim. They already had the new tire that I was supposed to buy mounted so I had to wait for them to remove it. But that was earlier today I went by another place to see if they could put it together but they were too backed up and I wasn't gonna have time to wait cuz I have to work soon. So I'm gonna take it tomorrow to try and get it done. But I got the tire sitting in my passenger seat of my Z now and I just noticed there is a chunk taken out a little below the bead I guess. So now I doubt it will seal at all! I don't know if they did it carelessly taking off my tire yesterday figuring I was buying the new one so why not or if it was already there??? How can I prove it, I didn't look at the inside of the tire before and after I can only see it now cuz it's not on my rim anymore. But do you guys think it will still be able to deal with this damage??? .jpg[/IMG]

You gotta use quality lube & have a little patience, while mounting/dismounting tires,,,this was total recklessness!

Man how am I supposed to prove it was there fault at this point since I left the place. Also can they still try and say it was my fault since I agreed for them to order new tires even though I haven't made any payment?

Did they dis-mount the tires from old wheel's & mount them on new ones? if yes...speak to the owner...i've seen this kinda shotty work on both car & heavy truck tires.

They dismounted my old tire from the same rim I'm gonna be using and put the new tire on there. And then when I decided to not get the new tires after all I still hadn't paid they had them on order but I left the wheel there like a fool and I guess they did all that when the new tire came in. I guess I'm gonna have to call them now before they close I'm at work now but I can let them know I think they damaged my tire, otherwise why would they tell me I need two new wider tires to fit they can't get it to seal and the problem is cuz the wheel isn't wide enough. And if I had that damage in there already they should have said hey this is the problem you just need this one new tire and then they should have covered it free cuz I have lifetime coverage on the tire through them. So many things wrong with this situation.

The tech is gonna blame it as a "Pre-existing condition", damaged because 245 on 9.5 is a "stretch" and not possible to mount/unmount without damaging the beads.

Get your rebuttal ready. Make sure to go to Tirerack.com and see the acceptable rim width range per tire manufacture.

Hate this kind of BS. Best of luck in getting it sorted out.

Don't go in with the guns blazing. Keep your head high and let them know that this is unacceptable. Be prepared and do not take "no" for an answer. You are a customer and you did nothing wrong. Good luck.

Would this help get my point across at all? It says rim width range 8-9.5" but what does measured rim width 8.5" mean?
