Welcome to performance cars. That tire wear is normal if you're always driving it to enjoy it. Also, the OEM tires suck for wear. You need to get something like a set of Michelin PSS or PS4S to replace them when they are fully worn out.

For reference, I have had 6 sets of tires on my Z in just about two years (17 days away in fact). I don't drive the car casually very much, and usually have less than 10k miles on a set of tires by the time they are dead, with the front and rear wearing evenly.

Alignment?

I've got MUCH better wear than that on my RE-11/71R with More than double the km. In fact my rear RE-11 from last year are still so good they are my front tires for this year.

PS4S should be my next set of tires.:yum:

Treadwear rating on that tire is only (140)...must be a very soft compound.
So your tires are gonna wear pretty fast.
Normal driving & an average way to calculate milage/per treadwear rating....is to add 2-0's to the backside of the treadwear #.
so a 140 would yield about 14,000mi...300-30,000mi./driving habit's play a huge roll.
get some all season tires (500 or so treadwear) & keep your foot out
of it & get close to 50k.
This is only from personal experience & knowledge gained from myself, close friends & family + years of mechanic work...so don't shoot! you probably won't see this posted anywhere;as cars weigh different amounts,fwd,rwd,awd,etc....all are determining factor's.
It just gives you a baseline to go by.
:)

If you get 50k out of a set of tires on the Z, you're doing it all wrong.

I agree; but 245/45/18 Goodyear Eagle all seasons went 38,000 on the front & were removed because I went through 2 sets of 275/40's on rear..they still have 6/32" tread.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...756894e5e4.jpg

Where do you live? That's still more than double what I get out of a set. Even on the fronts.
