Hankook Ventus V12 vs Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Currently in the market for some new rubber and can't decide on either the Hankook's or the Michelin's. Im going to be running 255/35/19 305/30/19
Hankook Ventus V12: ~$800 ($700 w/ mail in rebate) Michelin Pilot Sport 4S:~$1300 Does the extra performance from the Michelin's justify the extra $500-600? I would really rather put that money into other mods.

With the Hankooks, you get what you pay for
With the Michelins, you get what you pay for

These tires don't even belong in the same thread...
Go with the PS4s.

As everyone said above... the Hankooks didn't even compare with the Pilot Super Sports, I doubt they'll come close the the 4S since they're supposedly better than the Super Sports in every category (although that has yet to be proven).

Hankook are bang for your buck. I have a set and they are amazing tires! BUT you cant compare them to the pilots. Pilots are in a way better bracket then a hankook.

MPS4S aren't available for the front wheels in the UK, or I'd have them in a heartbeat. Michelin UK have recommended that I get Pilot Sport 4 XL (Extra Load), but I quite fancy the MPSuperSport XL, which are still available here.

What tires are you running now and what do you think of them? If your hardcore into handling performance then the PS4S or the older PSS are the only way to go for daily driving. Also, with the Nismo rims I would run 275/35-19 front.

I suppose it depends on the type of driving you do. Hankook is great for primarily commuting and some spirit driving, but if you want the best, Michelin is the way to go. |
