What will be the perfect tire size for my wheels?
I have
Volk GTS 19 x 9.5 + 17 19. 10.5 + 18 rear Rear tires are on 275/30/19 Hankook EVO v12s Front Tire on are on 255/30/18 Hankook EVO v12s My car isn't lowered and the tires seem way too low of a profile and I want fatter meat tires... While i'm looking to replace these tires, I want to make sure I get the right size/meaty tires that isn't extremely expensive. I also plan on lowering the car within a year so would need to consider that. Most likely going with BC BR Coils. Ive seen some nice setup on similar wheels and forgot to take notes. I daily my Z and would still like to stick with Evo v12s. Just unsure of what size tires I need to get. Any recommendations/suggestions would be appreciated!

On a 19 inch wheel anything less than a 295 width tire will have too short of a sidewall if you go for a 30 profile. (295/30/19) That being said you are stock height so I would recommend either a 245/40/19 or 255/40/19 front on the 9.5 and a 285/35/19 rear on the 10.5. Those sizes will look much meatier on the sidewalls and take away a lot of the 4x4 look you currently have. If you decide to lower your car later or don't mind a little more wheel gap (but still far less than you have now) a 265/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear would be a nice fitment. Not sure if the hankook you are referring to is made in those sizes but that's what I would run to improve your car.

everyone does 265/35/19 and 305/30/19, its like the standard size for aftermarket wheels on relatively stockish suspension. its about 20mm wider than a nismo so you are getting more tire than stock
all the good tires come in that size for DD i cannot complain about the Bridgestone S04s

Im confused by "too short of a sidewall". Iv been using those above on 9.5 and 10.5 for over 11 years never had issues with potholes, pulling from the bead, issues driving on the interstate, or anything else. Those specs are also are not "stretch tire" realm. Along with tens of thousands of car enthusiasts. |

I recommend:
255/35/19 fronts 295/30/19 rears

I'm trying to keep him as close to stock diameter as possible. Yes those sizes will fit and work without issue but given the nature of his complaint, "tires seem way too low of profile and I want fatter meat", I was trying to direct him in a fashion that would help with the issue. Not trying to get into an argument over what fits on what size wheel.

Because of not being lowered, those are very short tires.
You would like the meaty fit of 265/35,305/30's (as mentioned by OptionZero) if those +17's don't scrub when you turn...as factory front camber is usually less than 1 degree negative....i'm thinking anything taller may rub.

any issues with 275/35/19 in the front on stock height? I would assume no.

a 275/35/19 would work on the front 9.5. Only issue for your car in particular is what hammond said, that 17 offset could make you rub unless you are willing to run a lot of negative camber.

will I rub a LOT on a stock height? I'm really trying not to buy another set of tires when I already have brand new 275s lol.
