Yeah i agree. At the end of the day i just want my car back with no issues. Swift is saying its the person who installed my springs fault...Kinda a great response from a big company..

The springs shouldn't have anything to do with it, unless they were installed wrong. When did you have them put on? Before all of these issues started, or after?

They were put on quite a bit of time ago. But even if installed wrong treadwear cant be affected. + would that make the car ice skate around the road?

It could, but it would be more related to a bad alignment from a bad install, or incorrect spring rates. Both of those would be pretty obvious immediately after doing the install.

Update:
Tire place i bought the tires from isnt able to do a warrenty since they arent a retailer for cooper. They just purchased the tires from a different wholesaler. The place in town wants me to pay prices way above what i payed for them and then they will work with warrenty. P.S When your friends work at a shop make sure they still write up receipts cause it an bite you in the ***. |

As I understand it from what I know from personal experience, the shop should be able to warranty them out regardless of their standing as a retailer or not. But I also haven't had to make a claim like that before.
And yes. Any work done in a shop should always have a paperwork trail. I've seen that go wrong a few times now. |

Another update. He did put in a service ticket with just a multi point inspection. not mount and balance and whats funny is that is exactly 500 miles ago on the dot.

Would be cool to know your camber/toe specs.
Lots of contributing factors...especially all the road destruction going on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

how low did you drop the car? In reality, any drop warrants an alignment but if you went .5+ inches down you need new suspension hardware to properly align the car.
Youll need after market camber arms, toe bolts, and front A arms to get proper adjustment. The skating around the road sounds familiar to my Z. It was due to EXTREMELY bad toe in the rear. I went through a set of tires in under 5 months with minimal negative camber. |
