Fit Questions (ive searched)
Good morning everyone,
First and most important please excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge with this. I am looking at es2 varrstoen. I have read that the rears will fit but fronts need a 5 mm spacer. I have a few questions All info i have read has been with 19 inch wheels. I am looking to sell my 19 inch sport wheels and do 18's. With the smaller wheel size do i need larger spacers? i assume since i need a minimum of a 5 mm spacer i can use a 20mm no problem as well. Again thank you everyone for your help. |

I understand that.
The wheels from what i have been told rub on the sport breaks unless you have a spacer. So i am wondering if the 19's vs 18's require a different spacer. I apologize if it came off different. |

That info should be in one of the numerous "will it fit" threads on this site. If the site's search isn't finding what you need, try any of the major web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string. Eg, will it fit site:the370z.com

Sure it does. What wheel spacer you need might change with different diameter wheels. Which is pretty much exactly what the OP is asking. Stop filling this forum with your nonsense.

Have you searched yet? Try using your favorite web search site and include "site:the370z.com" (without quotes) in your search string. You should be able to find the info you're looking for. Also, you're going to want to read up about offsets. Proper offsets can help you avoid the need for spacers in the first place

What are you having trouble understanding? Changing the diameter of your wheels (from 19" to 18" for example) may necessitate a different spacer to ensure fitment (i.e. to make sure you clear brake calipers). Other variables that might also affect what size spacers to use, aside from wheel diameter, may include offsets and wheel spoke configuration.

I'd also try searching for "wheel spacer" and "offset". "Will it fit" was just an example that I thought would get some good hits.

Depends on the wheel design.
You are correct, in most cases, if the offset is the same going to a smaller wheel will not make the brakes rub on the front of the caliper, but shrinking the wheel may allow the spokes to touch the top edge of the caliper, because the spokes do not go out as far on the smaller wheel. So you may meed a larger spacer on a smaller wheel to push the wheel out further to get the spokes past the point where they touch the caliper.

What size tires are you going to use, what width? 19x9.5 +12 for the front will stick out a little bit, but if you like that sort of thing, go for it. The rears are fine, but bit conservative in relation to the front. Again, not bad at all.

I am not sure of what tires im going with yet. Even if i run a 19x9.5+22 with a 10mm Spacer it will stick out correct? the +22 needs a spacer so it doesnt touch the sport brakes.
