Very wrong indeed. It looks nice OP, but once you get a drop, I'm certain you'd want to get camber pieces, spacers, or both. Still, the wheels look good for the ride height.

OptionZero 11-01-2016 04:20 PM

people can have different ideas about what is "flush" but i think generally speaking if you aren't on coilovers or bags with adjustable arms, you're not even close

certainly not on stock suspension

and i'd never buy wheels before suspension, but hey, thats just me

jchammond 11-01-2016 04:49 PM

I dig the 27" tires...

OptionZero 11-01-2016 04:51 PM

taller than stock!

solteroblues 11-01-2016 06:07 PM

Wow! So you guys can pick apart anything. My tires are flush for the stock suspension and I have no desire to drop it after I got into figuring out all of the other issues with it. I think it looks good the way it is and I like it.

jchammond 11-01-2016 06:52 PM

No Hating here; I complimented the height of your tires (27.0/27.2)"F/R They look good!

kenchan 11-01-2016 06:54 PM

gaps in the wheel wells and wheel barrel. should lower it, get bigger calipers too to match.

cv129 11-01-2016 07:31 PM

Nice, but not as flush as you think

Congrats on new wheels, but sorry I gotta bust your claim...this is flush @ stock height.

Is this a bad thing? I am thinking of something higher for my next tires. 255-45-18 & 285-40-18.

cjwsrt6 11-01-2016 09:26 PM

Looks good, don't worry about everyone else, if you like it then it's flush and looks awesome
How are the new nittos?

haha I'm just busting OP's chop a little :stirthepot:, no harm intended

solteroblues 11-02-2016 11:32 AM

The Nitto's seem great so far, the guys who did the roadforce balancing said that they didn't have to add hardly any weight to any of the wheels to get them to balance, so I'd say the combination is pretty good.

If you're at stock height, you aren't flush. You're just . . . whatever. It's not a qualitative statement - your car, if you like it, good for you. But it's not accurate to call it flush, at least how the term is most widely used

MadSciSnails 11-03-2016 11:35 AM

Any rubbing with this setup? Looks great!

damn folks you must be bored to be arguing about the term flush. the word flush was around a long time before the concept of hellaflush and whatnot came around.

adjective: flush
1. completely level or even with another surface.
"the gates are flush with the adjoining fencing"

OP is obviously talking about the tire width matching the fender, vs the factory wheel/tire that sits inboard by about an inch or more.

(anyways, it looks like i must be bored too :rofl2:)

OP if you are comfortable at stock height then I would say your setup looks damn good. I was trying to size tires in the 27" diameter range for my setup, but finally gave up and went for the better performing tires (Michelin PSS). However, most of the sizes being run on this forum are too damn small for the wheel well. Don't even get me started on the #^@#% trying to stretch and scrape the road as they go.

OptionZero 11-03-2016 03:36 PM

why didn't you run a 285/30 and a 325/25? it looks monster truck as is

No. Just no....

I'd love to see that monster truck drive over anything....

OP, try putting 5mm spacers front and rear and see what happens. If your tires don't rub, remove the 5mm and use 10mm. Basically, keep trying on wider spacers until you rub, then back off a little . Seriously, you can go wider than your setup if "flush" is what you're after. Remember, when your suspension compresses, the top part of your wheels move inward (towards the wheel wells) so your wheels and tires can literally poke out a little while the car is parked and you still won't rub when driving. In fact, when I ran the OEM Sport wheels, Swift springs, and 20mm front/25mm rear spacers, the rears stuck out about 5mm but the tires never hit the fender even during spirited driving.

Sounds like the way i would tune the squirter size on my Holley 850cfm carb....keep drilling & popping throttle, until you see a tad of black smoke & back off a bit....lol

Zerafian 11-03-2016 06:56 PM

not my style but I can say it looks good on the car. Tires seem a bit to big for a 10.5. Shoulda gotten 12" wide!

:icon17:

dvboy 11-04-2016 09:31 AM

I think the fitment is great,I've had cars in the past where I have to avoid speed bumps, this is a good compromise to me.Might have gone with a different style, but that's just me,looks good!!

Why would the OP want to do this???It looks FLUSH to me at the stock height,it would look idiotic sticking out another 10mm unless he wants to lower it,and he's made it very clear he is sticking to the stock height.

Z-Girl 12 11-06-2016 05:55 PM

OP love the setup and mad props for the sweet look without messing with the suspension. Enjoy!

future370zzz 11-06-2016 08:12 PM

Looks pretty flush to me. Sometimes I wish I didn't install my springs. Worry about scraping way too much.

How the hell does BMW do it with their stock setups. Looks lowered stock.

Ok, don't do it then. Jeez.

solteroblues 11-09-2016 08:17 AM

I just want the tires to be the same width as the car. I don't like the inset look.
