Removing the spare tire
Guys,
Am trying to remove the spare tire (kinda of weight reduction lol) but the thing after removing it the bose amplifier doesn't hold properly as it is held by a long screw but it does go all the way but not enough to hold the amplifier any idea about this issue Thanks |
I would keep the spare on or simply remove the Bose amp, You're not going to be losing to much time keeping in.
You may want to look at other avenues for weight reduction. Here is a thread that can help in that regard http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...on-thread.html |

Use one of those "pool noodles", the bigger one; color is optional. Cut one to length to simulate the spare wheel dimensions, run a rope through it to keep it coiled, place it below the subwoofer, adjust, and tighten.
Keep in mind that the spare wheel and tire is part of the body rigidity when it comes to crashworthiness. You're on your own regarding this. |
