HRE wheels weight?
is there any way to find out weight of HRE wheels? I have looked but I have only found old info and HRE seems to not respond. Are these wheels even worth the extra cost? I thought they were a huge manufacturer but only a few of my friends actually heard of them. And none have ever seen them in person. Any opinions about HRE vs any other high priced wheel company appreciated.

I would not rely on that site for anything, alot of it is incorrect
the weight of the wheel will depend on alot of variables. Since HRE are built to spec, there is no standard weight width, diameter, offset, even finish can affect the weight if you're more specific as to which wheel you're after, I can let you know the approximate weight are they worth the extra money? eye of the beholder as they say. What you are paying for is a very precision engineered wheel, built to spec, that actually get delivered, and delivered in a reasonable amount of time. They are among my favorite manufacturers to deal with for this reason. That stuff does come at a price, and they are not cheap wheels by any means. But in todays market where everyone and their mom is making wheels, and then leaving customers waiting 7, 8 + months, companies like HRE just keep doing things the same way and it seems to work well for them...so they can charge a bit more Last edited by Z1Performance; 11-29-2009 at 07:57 PM. |

thank you Z1. Yeah they got back to me and basically said the same thing you said. They are all 100% custom to your specifications. They are really really pricey though. And I do mean really!! But again thanks for your input.
