Black Spots on 19" Stock Wheels
 

I get these black Spots that won't come off with elbow grease. You can't feel them so it is not something like that. Seems to be in the surface of the wheels. Any ideas on how or if these will come off?

What type of material are these rims made of? I need to get some wheel polish and want to make sure i get the right stuff.

I think this one is cause by Brake dusts,due to long time never wash rims..try Sonax Wheel cleaner.

Thanks......I actually have some of that. It didn't remove it before but I am going to try again and let it soak longer and try more elbow grease. Maybe doing that over and over will remove it a little at a time until it's gone.

I just found a Nick on the wheel too. Damn interstate and **** in the road. Ugh! Yesterday I hit something and my check air pressure light came on. Tiny hole in front tire. I plugged it at work actually and was able to get home. Getting two front tires today. 25k and the front insides are getting worn more than the outside.....anything you can do for a Nick in the wheel? I just don't want it to get bigger.
