You can't measure it. You need at add your wheel specs into an online calculator and then add what it will be with the spacer. That'll tell you your poke. Then you can measure or figure out if it'll hit the fender or such. I highly doubt unless you have a wide body a 45mm will work!

I saw a RWB Porsche cup car with 80mm spacers in the back last week. He's been racing for a couple seasons, so I guess it's fine.

im still a newb in aspects related to cars and this was another costly mistake, like some have stated, and if i knew i would have just bought different rims that were flush with the fender. im either going to get H&R 20-25mm (the size most Z owners have gone with) or i might just leave it as is. live and learn..
