I have been looking at the Forgestars powdercoated bronze or these rep's (I know the history of Forgestar's color and customer issues, so with powdercoating them I avoid one of their issues).
i hope you read caravans story on his forgestar saga...

I've been following it from the beginning. I have had my car since Jan and have been on this site since then, I just don't post as much. Unfortunately, I visit it too much each day My take on it, is they got too big for their britches - if you search the internet, you see them on all kinds of cars, and my guess is they couldn't keep up with the demand - and many (including caravan, suffered from it). But, those wheels are damn sexy, and cheap. Reminds me of my old e46.

Yeah, those were CSL replicas (Euro E46 specific wheels), before forgestar's time. Rota has been around for some time. They are big with the Subie guys. When I had a speed shop I used to sell them, and overall they had good designs (replicates of many) and most customers enjoyed them; I personally never knew anyone who had a problem with them.

Yeah, but they have limited size 19s (or 20s) and colors for our cars.

Can vouch for the customer service at 'wheeldude' as stated above they were once 'Subiedude' they continue to supply a lot to the Subaru crowd, funny the same 'dont put cheap crap on your car' posts usually follow related threads on other boards.
They are worth a call if your exact requirement not seen on there web page, they can source 1 offs and update pretty regularly.

Dont worry...once you curb it, a rock hits them, hit a pothole, or something hard in the road you will relize why you should have gone with the REAL thing lol

I guess unless you baught your 370 and making less then 30k a year..barely able to make the payments then I can understand, I was there the first 2 years I had my 350.

I should also mention this, you can get a set of TE's in near perfect condition if you go over to the 350z forums for cheap. People always sell used sets for around $2500 with tires around 60% tread.
ive talked to the shop distributing these. they are 350z specific, they arent universal wheels. the hub bore, offsets, etc are all intended for one particular car (they have an e46 and e92 fitment also).
they seem to be of good quality according to the guys, we are going to sample a set or two and then see how it goes from there. they do have have JWL VIA stamps, and the company backing them is awesome so far in terms of service.

statements like the above quoted statement are ignorant in terms of money. Even used, id be hard pressed to spend 2500 on tires and wheels. it is well within my means, but if i was making double what im making now, i still wouldnt spend that much. saying high quality replicas are not worthy and should be avoided is like saying Levi jeans should be avoided because True Religion or Diesel jeans cost more even though they do the same job. For those DDing and not hardcore tracking or xcrossing, who cares? is that extra money worth getting a few extra guys wet in their pants at a car meet? just my thoughts

Ignorance has nothing to do with my $2500 for rims statement. Some people dont actually know you can go to the private sales section on my350z.com and find DOZENS of nice brand, attractive rims for HALF the damn price.

the 350z's rear offset isnt exactly what we need on the 370 but it can do... there was a set of te37s that went for just over 2,000 with good rubber... in near mint condition...

can not beat that... they were +22s all around tho

fyi, been watching 350 forums for wheels daily for 2 months, have not found a deal on volks that I could swallow...

I was looking at the rota spectrum a couple months ago, been trying to talk them into offering it in Bronze, but they "have no plans" to at the moment. I've seen the Rota Grid in person on 350s and I love the concavity and look, but they don't have 19's. The P45r is similar, comes in 19's and bronze, but is a 5-spoke similar to the nismo lmgt's. Their offests are 19x9 +20 and 19x10 +20, so the front is gonna be really aggressive, and the rear will need at least a 10 mm spacer.

What did I do? Well my forgestars are at the powdercoater as we speak getting a bronze finish and my brand new ones arrive tuesday and will be up for sale at that point.
