I just took these tires off due to putting winter wheels on my car. When I took off, I was at about 11,900 miles (almost 12,000 Miles). I am planning driving these the WHOLE next summer. So, another 8000 miles is expected (though I will let you guys know if I had to change sooner). I also just bought 4 OEM RE050A 19" to replace them in the summer of 2011 . Here are some pictures of my tires to give you guys an idea. I do just regular everyday driving. Sometimes very spirited, sometimes like an old grandpa!

I have about 10k on mine and they still look to have at least half the tread left, no tracking however, just daily driving. I'm hoping also to use them completely through next year and replace spring 2011.

Nothing to do with the valve. The puncture is "too close" to the sidewall to fix. I think I'm going to buy a used tire from ebay ($60 ish) which has the same tread depth the rest of mine have and just use that until I need to replace all 4. All in all, not the best situation.

I have 15,500 on my tires and was going to post that I could probably get another 5,000-10,000 out of them then I saw AK370Z tire pics at 11k. Holy cow my rear tires look bald in comparison but its probably because I have a habit of turning off traction control every time I get in the car unless it is raining of course. And I do like to swing the tail out cornering on occasions and do drive pretty aggressive, its just so damn fun! For those who drive like a normally person I would say these tires should be good for at least 20,000 miles.
I plan on replacing these tires with Nitto's NT05 and plan on a lot less drifting, replacing tires for this car isn't cheap.

Wo, I got a little suspicious of those 9/32" tread depth measurements
(with 14.271 miles) from the dealership. I measured them myself and got: 6/32" and 7/32" for the front tires (passenger tire had a nail and was replaced early) and 3/32" for the rear That's a lot more realistic. Time for rear tires Last edited by Auston; 05-19-2010 at 10:53 PM. Reason: updated for measurements only of channels with wear bars/indicators (3 inner channels) |
