370z with OEM Rims Winter Tires?
I have a 370z sport, and for the winter my goal is to use the OEM rims that come on the 370z base, powdercoat them black and put blizzaks on them.
I found and purchased a set of slightly used OEM wheels on here from another forum member. What type of tire is accepted to be the best for winter, and do I have a lot of options for the rims I just bought? I've been hearing the Blizzaks are a pretty safe bet What size tire would I need and will the sport brakes be an issue? |
same tire size that comes with those rims is what you should look for. bbk's is not an issue.
|
Sport brakes won't be an issue. Blizzak LM-60s are the replacements for the LM-25s and that's what I just went with. Just get winter tires in the same size as the stock summer tires for those rims.
Edit: Damn Nogood, beat me to the punch. |
get tires from tire rack, they calculate all shipping and customs fees, you will not have to pay anything at the door....

Does anyone happen to know the tire dimensions that I should look for when ordering the Blizzak LM-60's on the OEM 18's? |
i forgot what it was, tire rack has the size listed under ''base 370z''. . . . . .
|
i used the handy dandy search feature here and searched stock tire size and its 255 50 18 and 245 45 18

Now I've heard using an offset is not ideal for winter, if you were going to go with just 1 tire size which would you use for all 4 tires? |
opps i meant 225 not 255 lol
the problem is that the rims are staggered |

225 50 18 for the fronts, 245 45 18 for the rear, hopefully blizzaks come in both sizes. |
they do come in both sizes
|
yes they do, I just ordered that setup (Blizzak lm-60s) from Tire Rack. $828 shipped
