I just picked up a set of Nitto NT555 G2's in a 255/305. Overall a great tire, quiet, grip really well and have an aggressive tread pattern. Might be something to look into

Also they are very reasonably priced.

I've put a handful of miles on the new SO4s. So far, they are really quiet, much quieter than the wornass Advans that were on it. The Z seems like a totally different car with that awful drone gone.

They have more grip too...but not like you would think. I don't do any corner-carving on the street. However, I could slide the front Advans simply by turning the steering wheel past halfway at a stop and taking off normally. The SO4s will not slide.

I'm perfectly happy with them at this point. I just hope they continue to be good tires as they wear in.

I got them from a locally owned auto service for about 1300 out the door.

They actually get better after you put a few miles on them.

tires look sweet! Question, Nitto also makes a INVO tire that looks interesting...why the NT555 and not Invo?

OptionZero 03-21-2016 01:32 PM

I just replaced my S001 on the rear of my nismo's with the Bridgestone S04. They were about $240 each, much cheaper than the $300 each i see for S001 direct replacements

Not tracking the car, this is just weekend fun car for now. I have driven in the rain and feel the wet traction is solid. Don't count on my take for much, i'm not pushing anything. I just wanted to comment that the price is better and all the reviews i've read for the S04 have been positive

you should also check to see whats in stock in your area through your local tire stores. I had a deal from Firestone for discounted installation, alignment and other safety checks at a location convenient to me

Moving forward, i'd like to go more hardcore and have two sets of wheels, one for track, one for street, but thats just pie in the sky atm.

Just added S-04's 265/305 and did some spirited driving on them this weekend.

So far, so good. Very happy with the grip and feedback.

Invo was my first choice but they do not make them in a 305/30. Only a 305/25 and that is too thin for my liking. They are great tires if you find the size your looking for!

I personally love the NT555 G2's so far. Handling and road noise both surpassed my expectations. You really can't beat them for the price
