Can anyone tell me what this is/does??

My wheels don't fit around it, the socket on the wheel just barely makes contact. I have a 2015 Nismo btw. Curious how guys with spacers and aftermarket wheels got around this. Can i just remove it? Thanks |

The bolt is to keep you from putting the front oem wheels on the rear or vice versa, remove it.
Edit: What kind of wheels are you putting on? and what is that gold/brown stuff on your hub? |

Yup, just remove it. I think it's to help at the factory to make sure they put the rear wheels actually on the rears, but I could be wrong... Been a while since I've looked at them, since I took them off when I put spacers on and never looked back.

You can remove it. You'll be fine without it.

Bolts off and the wheels are on. My offsets are pretty weak on them, i pretty much used them to judge what I want to get next.
Im thinking a 20x9.5+25 front and 20x12+30 rear Vossen VFS1 in gloss graphite. It would be the first Nismo on this setup |
