Powder coating Wheels - RAL question

Hello,

I am thinking of powder coating my wheels the color of my car (black cherry), but not sure what the RAL code is for that color.

It looks like RAL 4007 is the closest I can find myself, but if anyone on here has done the same, what code did you use?

I know what the nissan color code is for the car, but powder coat colors generally come in RAL color codes, which are different.

Best thing to do is go somewhere that does powder coating and get their color chip book/swatches and match it (in natural sun light) with your car.

Good idea. I may have to give that a shot.

any metallic black base, (I use NIC's black metallic), followed by Eastwood Anodized Red candy top coat is a spot on match for it.

Oh yeah? I'll have to remember that. I need to find a good shop in Atlanta for it. I've received a few quotes both pegged around $500, but not sure if that includes clear coat as well, or if they are factoring in a two coat process.

Sometimes I wish my car was just plain jane black. This would all be so much easier! :shakes head:
