So used, guy may have swapped the tires side to side before you got it. I normally swap mine side to side at least once every summer...

I am not so sure that was the reason for the outside tire wear. As both the front and the rear tires have the same amount of outside wear on both sides.

No usually you will have more camber wear in the rear. This is most likely what happened.
