i'm looking at these 3 currently:

Hankook ventus v12
Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

nitto invo's
Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

BFgoodrich G force comp-2 A/S
Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

in a perfect world it would be some pilot super sports. but yea kno... $$$. so could anyone with some experience chime in with some pros and cons of one or each of these?

Thanks in advance

Recently in the same boat and went with Potenza S0-4. Won't install until spring, but from what I found, they are a pretty good tire in the same price range as V12.

I had the Invo's on a S2000 and they were ok. I enjoyed the S-04 much better. In fact, that's probably my favorite street tire outside of maybe the PSS. I'll be going with the S-04 when it's time for a new set, but between the 3 you've posted I'd probably go with the hankooks

I generally keep Invo's on the Z for daily driving. For several years now. I doubt they are quite as good in the dry as the S-04's - I haven't yet had an opportunity to try those out. However, I can tell you from personal experience driving two different Z's on the same day at COTA, one with with Invo's and one with V12's, that the V12's are garbage

And don't put all seasons on a sports car; if you want to drive it in the winter, get some winter tires

I briefly considered the V12s, but just ordered a set of S-04s Saturday after doing my research.

My friend has those hankooks and he really likes them. It feels very grippy when I ride along in his 2012 wrx hatch.

why am i not seeing S-04's show up on discount tire? i'm going with 265/35/19 up front and 285/35/19 out back. i can find them but only thru other sites. (ehh, oh well i guess)

i hadn't ever considered s-04's before.

edit: also, thoughts on rear tire size? i'm kind of stuck between 285/35 and 305'30's out back. keeping in mind i will have a 265/35/19 up front.

9.5 and 10.5 wheel widths

If you're running 265/35/19 up front, I would go with 305/30/19 to keep the stagger as close to OEM as possible. Unless you have other goals.

I'd say nay to Hankook. I went through several sets before settling with Continental tires, which grip better and lasts longer. Unless something changed, Hankook tires gets slippery when it starts to wear. My Continental tires are over 3 years old, is needing replacement in a few months, but still grips very well. I hardly slip in the rain, and this is just daily driving.

North of 12k miles, and I'm really stretching it since I need to get the shock dampers replaced soon. Over a year ago I used a repair kit on one of the tires and it held up well since.

My Hankooks barely lasted 8k miles, and it's far less than 2 years. The more it slipped, the faster it started to wear out. The tires listed in my description were the ones I had. I went through at least 3 sets before switching to Continental Extreme Contact DW. At the time of purchase, the Continental tires were actually cheaper.

My car has been through enough, so I rather not drive it in the snow.
