Do wider tires effect computer sensors?

Hey guys, I have a 2013 Nismo and want to go with wider tires with a slightly lower profile. Has anyone had an issue with any sensor lights going on?

Default Do wider tires effect computer sensors?

Hey guys,
I have a 2013 Nismo and want to go with wider tires with a slightly lower profile. Has anyone had an issue with any sensor lights going on? The dealer is saying wider tires will mess up the computer.

No, not as long as you maintain the same diameter tire and the diameter front to back can't vary by more than like 3-5%

Ex: stock is 245/40 and 275/35

Acceptable options (there are more, and this does not take into account over/under-steer)
275/35 and 305/30
255/40 and 275/35
245/40 and 305/30
255/40 and 285/35

I have 285/35/19 front and 325/30/19's rear on my Nismo and no issues. The dealer is blowing smoke on this one. RE-11's.

Wider tires will not affect the sensors or computers. Taller or shorter tires can have an effect if there is enough difference.

They are probably referring to if the diameter changes than so do your MPH which may effect the speed sensing side of things. But, its not like it is AWD so it really shouldn't make a drastic difference. Just have someone or yourself size up your wider wheels and tires so that your mph is not effected drastically.

Pic of the 325 on the rear? That's awesome.

Several have done it. See thread below.

Why you should use these tires with NISMO Wheels: 285/35R19 (F), 325/30R19 (R)

I'm running 275/35-19 front, 345/30-19 rear. No lights.
