Question about square stock rear Rays track setup
Hey everyone - I know through just a bit of research that the stock rear 19x10" Rays wheels do indeed fit on the front of the car, but I have a question regarding tires and a track/autox setup. I saw that they make the Nitto NT01 in 305/30r19 and Toyo R888 in 295/30r19. Preferably I would like to run a true square setup with the NT01's. I have fit a 295 Hoosier A6 on the front with the 19x9 Rays wheel without rubbing, and I know those tires tend to run a little wide as is. Currently have -2.5 front camber, but can go a little more if need be (daily the car right now so I would prefer not to). The R888 would most definitely fit, but I need all of the tire I can get! If anyone has any input or experience with running a similar setup I'd appreciate it. I want to see what others have done before dropping a nice chunk of change on those NT01's.

I ran the nitto for autocross and love it, needs a little more heat then the a6 bit it grips well and take a lot of heat with no issue. As rcomps go it is my favorite I've used

Right now I'm running a 275F / 305R setup with the NT01's. Absolutely love em. If I can get another 30mm tire up front I'd be golden. That plus my new OS Giken diff = win. I'd love to do A6's but I have no way to transport them there. I'm not nationally competitive and the NT01's are more than fast enough that I can keep up with the best of em locally.

Why can you not transport a6's but can nt01's?
|
Because I drove there on NT01s and can't on A6s

I recommend buying whatever is cheaper, then purchasing the trailer hitch and a harbor freight trailer so you can toe your tires and not drive on them. Unless you're very very close any little bit of rain will be tough and you chance heat cycling your tires out faster
