Angry Cautionary tale: watch out for those tire fitters!

Bought my snow tires at Tire Rack. Used their recommended installer. Last week, I dropped off my wheels (using my Wagon) to have the snows mounted on them.

When I got home & started mounting the snows on my Z, things did not seem right. The fronts with 225/50-18's on them stuck out too far, while the rears with 245/45-18's were tucked in too much. WFT?

Oh SH*T, they mounted the wrong tires on the wrong wheels!! Talk about terminal oversteer!

Now I have to find time to get them remounted and rebalanced. Big PITA.

Hey kids, this could happen to you. Watch out out there. Just another damn thing to keep track of, when you get the monkeylads working on your car. I told the owner that killing off his clients was not a good strategy for customer retention...

Which is why I stay away from the tire monkey shops, been there done that I went to a sears tire center many years ago with my Honda Prelude to get 2 new tires, I asked them to put the current fronts with decent tread on the rear and put the new tread on the front. Of course they threw away the tires that were decent and left me with 2 bald tires and 2 brand new tires. Had to wait another 30 minutes while they corrected the mistake.

I have a great tire guy now, he charges less than the monkeys and does a much more professional job. Plus he doesn't care if you hang out in the shop and watch.
