One thing that I have always used is an air compressor with an adaptor that easily fits between the spokes that I can get at the brake calibers to blast out brake dust that has built up. I then use detail spray on a micro fiber towel to follow up. Just make sure you don't forget to get the inter barrels of the wheels as clean as the outside of the rims, other wise the wheels are not clean.
