I'd be interested to see the front of the rim - it looks like there wasn't much, if any, damage there. Hard to imagine an impact causing that kind of

I'd be interested to see the front of the rim - it looks like there wasn't much, if any, damage there. Hard to imagine an impact causing that kind of damage to the inside of the wheel and the barrel without also significantly damaging the face of the wheel. I guess they could have clipped the edge of a pothole or something.


Aesthetics are subjective. And very rarely do parts work for both aesthetics and performance - they are often contradicting unless you are spending money for high dollar parts (e.g. CF hood is going to weigh more than stock hood unless you pay the premium for dry carbon). So if you're changing the wheels for the looks, then performance shouldn't really come into play. Not much racing is done on showroom floors.

And the offsets are not ideal, I agree. But it's hard to justify spending the thousands of dollars for wheels equal in quality in terms of performance just to correct the offset. Once again, performance shouldn't really come into consideration because parts made for aesthetic reasons will often have zero or even a negative impact on performance.
