Waiting 14 weeks for flippin Wheels

Hey guys,

So back in April, I orderred some new Work VsXX wheels for the Z. Was told they create them upon order to make them fit perfectly to the specific car, so it'll take 6-8 weeks to receive. Waited my 8 weeks, called, said they were coming. Waited two more weeks, "I'll look into it" waited another two weeks and said I'll get by the end of July.

What the hell? Do they REALLY take this long typically? Idk how the hell wheels take longer amount of time than FI to freakin put together an entire turbo kit and exhaust. Keep waiting or dispute this BS and go elsewhere? UGH. :icon14:

Who did you order the wheels through?

Import AutoWorks here in Az. It's a local shop that I've had work on all my previous cars. The guy is great, but sometimes I question him a bit.

This makes me feel better. Good to know. Kinda Surprised it takes that long, especially considering how many vendors on here seem to have them on hand ready to go.

I waited 13 weeks from the time of order to the time they were in Cali, ready to ship to me (which didn't take long). Hang in there. It can (and does) take a while to get these wheels and I was getting pretty irritated/impatient, myself, but the wait was worth it when I did get my Works.

One thing I took away from my experience is that all the distributor can do is tell you what they're told by Work. Your AZ distributor only knows so much about what's going on in Japan. I found that when I called and I was told "oh it will be 12-15 total weeks" or "oh you're on week 10 from ordering these, they'll be here in a couple weeks; probably on my next container" I was just being told what they could assume based on Work Wheels' operations and their experience. If you push and dig a little deeper, the distributer should be able to find a tracking number or order number for your specific order and Work can let the distributor know if they're built, if they're loaded up, almost to the port, etc.

Sorry for the lengthy message. Again, just hang in there. It does take a while and, I know, it's frustrating.

sounds about right

It took 11 weeks for my custom wheels to be made, but it is well worth it.

Spacers are for posers!

...ordered wheels from a vendor on here and was told 10 weeks.
...ordered a varis lip and was told 6-8 week production, 4-6 week shipping.
parts take time

I processed a group buy for some guys...

The Volks took like 16+ weeks to get in... I felt so bad, that even though I didn't make money on the deal, I gave $100 refunds to guys out of my own pocket...

Add insult to injury... Mackin screwed up the order and got the wrong offsets... Had another 2 week delay for 2 sets...

Price to pay for custom parts I assume................... Sucks though!!!
